Dataset’s Bin Scanner app allows Waste Contractors to assign containers to customers prior to delivery using RFID technology.
Now available on Android, previously this task could only be done on very expensive PDS devices.The app will prompt for the customer ID to either be keyed in or scanned from a barcode, Then, using the Bluetooth RFID scanner the user scans the RFID in the wheeled container, selects the bin size (e.g.
240 litre, 360 litre etc.) from the drop down list along with the material type (e.g.
waste, recycling etc.).
The app will also assign the GPS co-ordinates so that the back office system has a record of the location to which the bin was delivered.This data will import straight into your Dataset back office system.Soon to come… the data from the scanning exercise will be sent back over air and in real time.
